A letter of reference from a previous employer can do wonders for the career advancement of a clerk.
If you are applying for a job where a letter of reference is a necessity, you have to make sure that you have maintained good relations with your managers at your last place of work.
Here is an example of a Clerk recommendation letter sample that will give you an idea of what an effective reference letter should contain.

To Whom It May Concern
I am writing to recommend Sara Doe as an excellent candidate for the position of Clerk. She worked for our office from June 2016 to Jan 2023.
During her 6 years tenure at Harden Healthcare, Sara ensured that all of her duties were carried out in accordance with the standards and procedures of the office and has never once been negligent in her duties. Her interpersonal and communication skills are excellent, and by far, she is the most well-organized individual that I have had the opportunity to work with. Needless to say, the demands of her work as a Clerk in our office made her able to work independently and without much supervision.
Sara was responsible for many clerical and administrative duties including organizing and updating case files, determining where and how records should be filed, retrieving data when necessary, compiling documents, and arranging for mass emails to be sent. She also voluntarily substituted for any staff member on leave in the administrative department and multitask her job very well as a substitute too.
It is heartrending to see her go. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
Sincerely,
Jane Carrtip
