A letter of reference from a previous employer can do wonders for the career advancement of a clerk. If you are applying for a job where a letter of reference is a necessity, you have to make sure that you have maintained good relations with your managers at your last place of work.

Here is an example of a Clerk recommendation letter sample that will give you an idea of how your own reference letter should look.

To Whom It May Concern

I would like to recommend Ms. Sara Doe as a candidate for the position of Clerk at Freeman Health System. She has worked for our office from January 2006 to March 2012.

During her six years’ tenure at Harden HealthCare, Sara ensured that all of her duties were carried out in accordance with the standards and procedures of the office and has never once been negligent in her duties. Her interpersonal and communication skills are excellent and by far she is the most well organized individual that I have had the opportunity to work with. Needless to say, the demands of her work as a Clerk in our office made her able to work independently and without much supervision.

Sara was responsible for a number of clerical and some administrative duties including organizing and updating case files, determining where and how records should be filed, retrieving data when necessary, compiling documents and arranging for mass mails to be sent. She also voluntarily substituted for any personnel on leave in the administrative department and did her job very well as a substitute too.

It is heartrending to see her go but we cannot hold her back if she has another opportunity where she can perform beyond expectations of a company in need of her services. I wish her all the best for all her future endeavors.

Sincerely,
