I have always loved working in challenging environments. In fact, I have worked in retail sales for some time and moved into industrial sales only post saturation.

While working as an industrial sales representative, I have been busy creating business contacts, as well as following up with them. Developing meaningful relationships with existing and new clients was all in a day’s work for me. In addition, I have been busy providing clients with information on available services and products. Convincing clients to buy industrial products has also been one of my major tasks.

3. What is your main strategy to convince clients to buy a product?

Honestly speaking, there is no one strategy. I strategize my sales pitches according to the specific requirements of each client.

4. What has been the success rate of your sales efforts?

If I am to gauge my sales success on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, I would place it at 8.

5. What do you find most challenging about working as an industrial sales representative?

To be honest, the entire work of an industrial sales representative is challenging. However, I sometimes find it quite cumbersome to convince a client to use our products and services, when he or she is perfectly happy with another company’s offer.

6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Within the next 5 years, I hope to have climbed the ladder to an industrial sales director position.
