Position Overview
A live-in caretaker provides families or businesses with services such as looking after people, and assets. These individuals live on site so they are usually on duty 24 hours a day.
Typically, your work duties will include inspecting premises in order to ensure that they are secured from all ends and making sure that any open windows or doors are closed and secured.
Also, it is the responsibility of a live-in caretaker to make sure that items and property within the building are safe from threat.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered eligible to work as a live-in caretaker, you have to possess a high school diploma or a GED equivalent.
Previous employment in a security or caretaking environment comes in handy when working at this position.
Skills and Abilities
Physical dexterity is one of the main requirements of working as a live-in caretaker.

• Ensure that grounds are properly maintained, and assist gardeners in taking leaves and putting them aside
• Assist housekeepers with moving or rearranging furniture upon instructions
• Handle event setting up and breaking down tasks in order to ensure a smooth flow of work
• Ensure that all light and heating systems are in good working order, and inform building supervisors of any issues that may need fixing
