What does working as a cocktail server entail?

Serving cocktails is not all that a cocktail server does. They must be able to take orders for snacks and ensure a clean and comfortable environment for customers.

Who do you think holds a more prominent position in a bar – a bartender or a cocktail server?

Both are equally important. Working in a bar is all about working in collaboration with each other. As a bar is a team-oriented environment, and one has to make sure that there is coordination among all participants.

Bars might face a lot of conflicts owing to the nature of this business. What do you do to prevent customers from indulging in inappropriate behavior?

I keep up a very professional demeanor while I take and serve orders which give customers no-nonsense vibes. I also keep my eyes peeled for signs of conflict and at even the slightest inclination, I inform the bar authorities to intervene.

Apart from being able to take and serve orders with accuracy and handle conflict resolution, I can fill in for a bartender. My specialty in a bartender role is garnishing a Manhattan!
