Motivation Letter for Receptionist Position

Updated on: April 14, 2022

Receptionist Motivation letters are detailed versions of cover letters.

While they serve the same purpose, which is to get an employer to read an accompanying resume, they may be longer than standard cover letters.

A motivation letter is usually written when an individual comes across an advertisement that happens to “motivate” him or her to apply, owing to the information in the ad; he or she may find that the skills needed by an employer are an exact match to his or hers!

There is much content that you can write in a motivation letter. You can talk about your aspirations and how passionate you are about the job as a Receptionist.

You can also provide detailed information about your related experience and how well accomplished you were in them.

A motivation letter gives you more ground to play in – a standard cover letter for a Receptionist may not allow you to reiterate your resume completely but a motivation letter does to some extent.

Mr. Gregory Taylor

Dear Mr. Taylor:

Through this letter, I would like to express a keen interest in the position of Receptionist at Shamrock Trading Corporation.

I have worked in various front desk roles for eight years; my last commission was at Paychex Inc. where I accomplished many tasks including coordination of multiple telephone lines, file and records management, and acted as a bridge between various departments within the company.

As a meticulous worker with exceptional organizational skills, I have been called upon to provide my input in several significant projects that the company has undertaken over the years; the Worthy Warrior Project earned 20% above its targeted revenue owing to my involvement in it.

I am a self-directed individual and possess the ability to work independently. I have been especially adept at providing exceptional customer services, and I believe firmly in the cliché, “the first impression is the last impression.” Having said this, I have always made sure that I am amiable to customers and visitors, even in the most distressing of situations.

My strong communication skills and energetic personality is a good fit for your requirements. I believe that it would be pertinent to discuss the possibility of my working for your company in person. I may be reached at (000) 333-3333 if you would like any further information from me.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration, and I look forward to meeting with you in person.

Sincere regards,

Kimberly Basset
