What are some of the main duties that you have performed in the role of a golf course superintendent?
As a golf course superintendent, I have been actively involved in supervising the mowing, watering and maintenance of tees, greens, fairways, and related areas. In addition to this, I have been responsible for supervising the planting and maintenance of turfs, directing the construction and maintenance of the grounds, and administering and enforcing club rules, and regulations.

In your opinion, what are the main skills that one needs in order to successfully work as a golf course superintendent?
When one is working as a golf course superintendent, it is important to be a great leader, as one has to oversee the work of a lot of people, and lead them to work well. Also, it is important to possess deep knowledge of management and maintenance of greens, fairways and roughs, along with demonstrated expertise in overseeing the use and mixing of chemicals and commercial products.

What is the most challenging part of working as a gold course superintendent?
I would not pinpoint just one area, as working at this position is an amalgamation of many different things, most of which could be challenging on a regular basis.

Why did you decide to work as a golf course superintendent?
It all started out with my extreme love for the game and the great outdoors. Since my first job as a golf course assistant 4 years ago, I have known that this is what I want to do!

Where would you rate yourself as a golf course superintendent on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being lowest on the scale?
I would give myself a realistic 7, as I still have a lot to learn.

Does inclement weather conditions bother you?
Not at all. As I mentioned that I love the great outdoors, I know that inclement weather conditions come with the turf. And I love nature in all its forms.
