Golf Course Superintendent Cover Letter Sample

Writing a cover letter is not simply putting words on paper. It requires a lot more than that.

When you are in the process of writing a cover letter, what matters most is your ability to reach out to a hiring manager through the words that you use.

But it is one of the most difficult things to do, to use the magic of words to impress someone. However, it is not impossible!

What you write in a cover letter is what will decide if you are worth the hiring manager’s time, money and resources. Be very careful when outlining your abilities, qualifications and achievements in a cover letter.

Whatever information that you elicit will be responsible for making a positive (or a not so positive) impression on the hiring manager. The content and relevance of it is what makes a cover letter worthwhile. Here is a sample to help you:

Mr. William Velo
Human Resource Manager
The Tenth Tee
14 Beta Avenue
Franklin, TN 10998

Dear Mr. Velo:

I saw your advertisement for a Golf Course Superintendent in the Classic Ads last weekend, and I cannot help but match each and every point that you have outlined with my skills and qualifications. And the match is just perfect! In anticipation of providing you with the benefit of my experience and expertise as a golf course superintendent, I offer the enclosed resume for your review.

Supervising a golf course is not everyone’s ballgame. It is mine, though. I have worked in this capacity for over 8 years, and have a string of successes to my name. It is not just my ability to oversee the work of golf course crew members, but also my comprehension of strategizing planting and maintenance work which makes me such a great contender for this position.

In my present place of work, I was credited, and highly commended for my ability to create and implement an irrigation plan, which was efficient, yet used 75% less water resources than the one that was already being used! This accomplishment, along with many others make me a top notch candidate to be hired at The Tenth Tee, as a golf course superintendent.

I am hoping that a meeting between us will give you a more profound idea about what my capabilities are. I will contact you soon, and can be reached at (333) 333-3333 if needed.

Sincerely,

(Signature)

Jacob Hall
