Home Health Aide Resignation Letter Sample

Updated on July 16, 2019

Working as a home health aide is quite a demanding job.

And if you want to resign from your position as one (even if it is for a reason other than the fact that the work is demanding), you have to write a proper resignation letter.

In it, you have to highlight exactly why you want to leave and offer suggestions on who can replace you.

Depending on what your specific reasons you have for resigning, you have to offer an explanation.

You can actually write a solid resignation letter by choosing and using the right words.

In your resignation letter, offer information about when you would like to leave, and also focus on what will happen once you are gone.

Since it is your responsibility to ensure that your work is done properly during the notice period, make sure that you tell the human resources manager that you will make sure of it.

Mr. Jeffery Lincoln
Human Resources Manager
Care Inc.
9728 Tent Road
East Greenwich, RI 34332

Dear Mr. Lincoln:

I am writing this letter to inform you that I am resigning from my position as a home health aide for Care Inc. Please note that August 16, will be my last working day. As mentioned in my contract, this allows the facility 30 days to look for a replacement.

Having worked at Care Inc. for 4 years, it was a difficult decision to resign. However, my personal circumstances do not permit me to stay any longer. My mother is gravely ill, and she has expressed a desire for me to be her primary caregiver. Since she lives in Newport, I have no choice but to move out of East Greenwich to be by her side. It is one of the most difficult decisions that I have taken, but I had no choice.

During the time that I have worked at Care Inc., I have learned a lot, which is now helping me in a personal capacity. For that, I will be eternally grateful to you. I am sure that you will soon find someone seasoned to replace me – I will, of course, help in looking.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. I will truly miss my peers and supervisors.
