It is always challenging to determine what to write in your cover letter for a dental assistant intern position.

Since experience is not something that you can rely on, one feels the pressure considerably. However, it is possible to write a great cover letter without depending on experience.

As a dental assistant intern, you must focus on your knowledge of clinical and administrative work associated with a dental practice.

This will include the ability to handle chairside assistance work, the capability of managing dental instruments, and knowledge of overseeing administrative work such as patient intake and scheduling.

Since working as a dental assistant intern is challenging, one must make sure that one has the training and background to do this work before applying for it.

Mr. Dylan Redford
Human Resources Manager
The Dental Practice of Lansing
65 Rock Avenue
Lansing, MI 28048

Dear Mr. Redford:

I have recently graduated from First Dental College, and would now like to offer my skills in an intern position to the best practice in Lansing -The Dental Practice of Lansing. I am positive that your office will appreciate my work as I am well-versed in both chairside assistance and the administrative end of the work.

My interest in dentistry stems from the day that I found out what the work entailed. My decision to acquire a degree in it was probably the best decision that I have made. During my studies, I managed to learn much about the work, including handling and sanitizing instruments, preparing patients, and maintaining dental X-rays.

Additionally, I am aware of managing patient scheduling and follow-up, and can effectively oversee records management and filing work as well. Also, I am qualified to educate patients on what to expect during and after a dental procedure, consequently putting them at ease so that the process can be performed properly.

It would be pertinent to meet in person so that I can further highlight why I feel that I am a great person to hire as a dental assistant intern at your practice. I will call your secretary in order to set up a meeting with you. Until then, please feel free to call me at (000) 828-3218 if you need further information.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Mathew Blanc
