Mr. Adam Mills

Rite Locking Systems Inc.

Rochester, NY

Dear Mr. Mills:

I am interested in the open position for a locksmith apprentice. Since I have an inherent interest in the work, I am sure that I will be able to learn quickly and contribute immediately. If you go through my resume, you will see that I have taken up shop class in high school, which I am positive will help me immensely in learning the trade.

Specifically, I am well-versed in determining the right types of locks for specific doors, and gates. Also, I am talented in installing and maintaining different types of locks and can effectively handle keying problems. My knowledge of disassembling locks, and repairing and replacing worn tumblers, and springs are spot on. And I am equally talented in cutting/fabricating new and duplicate keys, and stamping them with identification.

Ensuring proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies particular to a locksmith’s work is my forte. In a support role, I am positive that I will be a great contributor. If you are looking for an individual who has the capacity to not only install but also troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electronic key card systems, then I am your person.

Next week, I will contact your office to set up a meeting time. Please feel free to call me at (000) 284-9918 if you need any further information that is not available in the accompanying resume.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Paul Reed
