A cover letter is a perfect place to emphasize your interest in the post office job and your ability to live up to the expectations of the employer.
There is so much that you can do with cover letters, including explaining job disruptions, your achievements and skills, and anything else that you feel the employer will be interested in.
With cover letters, you have pretty much a free hand about what you want to say.
There is only one thing – relevant information in a cover letter is welcomed, but information that has nothing to do with either your work or the company that you are applying to is probably not!
