Cover Letter for Post Office Job No Experience

Updated on March 4, 2018

A cover letter is a perfect place to emphasize your interest in the post office job and your ability to live up to the expectations of the employer.

There is so much that you can do with cover letters, including explaining job disruptions, your achievements and skills, and anything else that you feel the employer will be interested in.

With cover letters, you have pretty much a free hand about what you want to say.

There is only one thing – relevant information in a cover letter is welcomed, but information that has nothing to do with either your work or the company that you are applying to is probably not!

Be careful of what information you provide. The point of writing a cover letter is to tell the prospective employer that you exist and are good enough to be able to work at the position for which you have presented your resume.

When you have no experience, writing a cover letter may seem like a very jarring thing to do.

However, it is quite a simple thing to do if you just put your mind to it – refer to different samples written by experienced and non-experienced people, and you will get a good idea of what to write in your own.

Here is a post office cover letter sample (no experience) that you can look through for reference.

Mr. Robert Jenner
Hiring Manager
Postal Works

Dear Mr. Jenner:

A recent internship at Hampton Postal Office has prepared me well to work as a Post Office Clerk at Postal Works. Owing to the fact that I am an exceptionally organized individual, coupled with deep understanding of the postal system within New Hampshire, I am confident that I will be able to begin work with minimal training.

Some of my qualifications that I am confident will be of great interest to you include:

• Unmatched ability to sort incoming letters and parcels according to their specific postal codes.
• Highly skilled in operating various types of postal equipment including sealing machines and stamp dispensers.
• Solid insight into performing desk services such as customer support through information provision and assistance with handling mail and parcels.
• Demonstrated expertise in distributing incoming mail through appropriate channels in a time-efficient and accurate manner.

Being a work-ready individual, I am sure that you will find the enclosed resume of interest. If you require further information regarding my qualifications, please contact me at (444) 444-4444. I will be in touch regarding an interview time soon.
