Healthcare Assistant Cover Letter Sample

Remember the time that you learned how to write a letter back in school?

The bad news is that things are not the same anymore where cover letter writing is concerned.

When you write a cover letter in this day and age, you have to focus on what the hiring manager wants, as opposed to what you want. Yes, that is how much things have changed.

As an applicant, you are at the backburner – and the needs of an employer are not. So you have to focus on making sure that you are presented to the hiring manager, all nicely wrapped and tagged!

Having said this, doing so isn’t all that easy. There are many considerations that you need to look out for. Firstly, you have to make sure that you write a cover letter that is spot on with the needs of the hiring manager.

A cover letter sample for a healthcare assistant is provided below for your reference:

Mr. Archibald Andrews
Human Resource Manager
Boulder Community Health
320 Treveor Avenue
White Pine, TN 72646

Dear Mr. Andrews:

For me, patient care means a lot more than merely helping assigned patients with their day to day needs. In fact, it is a passion that I have nurtured since I found my calling in this arena. I am confident that once you have been through my professional history, you will become highly interested in what I have to offer to Boulder Community Health in the role of a healthcare assistant.

Over the last 6 years, I have been diligently assisting assigned patients in many areas, including personal support, emotional assistance, and condition monitoring. Because I am mild and patient by nature, my patients take me easy, and always respond in a positive fashion.

But patient assistance is not my only area of expertise. I have been specially trained in providing doctors and nurses with aid in sterilizing equipment, performing initial health checks, taking and processing blood samples, and restocking consulting rooms. Furthermore, my expertise extends to observing, monitoring, and recording patients’ conditions, and handling infection prevention and control activities as well.

I will be in the vicinity of Boulder Community Health next Wednesday and will drop in to see if you have an available time slot to meet with me. In the meantime, please call me on the cell number given below if required.

Sincerely,

Kyle Lemming
