Entry Level Accounting Clerk Resume Sample

Updated on: April 3, 2019

Lack of experience should not equal a skimpy resume.

At the entry level, it is even more important to write a succinct and informational resume than it is to write one when you have years of experience.

Even if you have no experience in hand, resumes should be able to highlight the skills and qualifications that meet employer qualifications, excluding irrelevant information.

Initial resume reviews are almost always done by the ATS and that’s where the problem occurs. Artificial Intelligence is no match for human intelligence and resumes are often binned simply because the AI thought that they weren’t worth it.

With entry level accounting clerk resumes, you cannot take that risk. You are just beginning your career and you want to get into the groove. So you have to be sure that whatever you write in your resume is in sync with the requirements of the employer. If they are, even the ATS will be kind to your resume.

The following resume checklist should help as far as the appearance of an entry level accounting clerk resume is concerned:

  • Is the resume inviting and easy to read?
  • Does it possess the language of the job advertisement?
  • Does it incorporate enough white space between sections to facilitate skimming?
  • Does it present the strongest qualifications first?
  • Is the length of the resume appropriate? (one page suffices for entry level resumes)

If you have checked them all, you can move on to the sample resume for entry level accounting clerk position below:
