Mr. Drake Kinder
Human Resources Manager
Flora Nursery
6423 5th Avenue
New York City, NY 10398

Dear Mr. Kinder:

Seeing your advertisement for a nursery plant worker position, I could not help but explore this position further. Since I have worked as a nursery plant worker earlier, I am sure that I will fit right in. Having possessed a green thumb ever since I was in grade school, I had always aspired to work in a capacity where my interest is more profound.

I have spent the last 4 years working as a plant worker in one of the biggest nurseries in the cities. Here, I learned much about growing plants, trees, and flowers from seeds and saplings. Planting seeds and then transferring plants to growing areas is a great strength of mine.

Additionally, I am proficient in:

  • Transplanting shoots into the soil, and preparing them for sale
  • Cutting, rolling, and stacking sod
  • Performing fruit tree grafting as well
  • Maintaining work areas by controlling water and sunlight input according to the specific requirements of each plant or flower

A meeting with you will give me the opportunity to determine how suitable I am for a nursery plant worker position at Flora Nursery. I will get in touch with your secretary next week to set up an interview date and time. Until then, I will be available at (000) 858-1300, if required.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Mathew Jones
