Letter of Interest for Classroom Aide

Updated on: September 16, 2018

Writing a cover letter for an unadvertised position (letter of interest) can be tricky as you do not know what to write to pique the attention of the reader. A position which has been advertised is easy to apply because you can tailor your cover letter to the requirements mentioned in the job description. However, writing a letter when you do not know what an employer may want in an employee specifically is a challenge.

A letter of interest for a non-advertised classroom aid position will require much thought. You will have first to determine what a classroom aide is expected to do and tailor your letter according to those specifications. A classroom aide works in a support role by providing the lead teacher with both clerical and instructional support. He or she assists with the students as far as behavior management and assignments are concerned; he or she may also help in engaging them in classroom activities.

If you are thinking of expressing your interest in working as a classroom aide at your local high school, you may send the following letter to be considered for future openings.
