How important is it for you to bag that job for which you have been busy preparing your resume and cover letter? We take it that your answer is “very important”. Well, then you have to make sure that your cover letter is of the standout quality. What is a standout cover letter? A letter that does not bore and is relevant to the position for which you are applying is a standout cover letter.
Standout cover letters are not easy to write. Since there is no way for you to know exactly what it is that the rest of the world writes, it is not easy for you to do what the rest of the world isn’t doing. However, you can pick up information from the great WWW to see how most candidates write cover letters. For most of them, a simple I am available and you should hire me is the main way in which they write cover letters. Even though this is exactly what you have to say as well, you need to word it differently – in a standout manner.
To successfully write a cover letter of this sort, here is how you should be going about it:

Dear Mrs. Glenn:
The basic motivation behind obtaining a preschool teaching certificate from Salem Teacher’s Guild (in addition to a master’s degree in education) was the fact that I wanted to be fully prepared to teach preschool students. This certification, along with 6 months of relevant internship experience has prepared me extremely well to work as a beginner teacher at Chesterbrook Preschool.
Some highlight of my accomplishments include:
• Successfully implemented activities-based learning procedures, which increased students’ interest in learning new concepts.
• Introduced the International Baccalaureate program at the school, earning accolades for the initiative.
• Implemented a series of developmental programs, aimed at assessing students’ specific developmental, cognitive and educational requirements, and creating correlating programs.
I have always been held in high regard by my students, co-teachers and the school management due to my novel outlook on creating and implementing educational programs for students who are just being introduced to the world of education.
Intending to replicate this at Chesterbrook Preschool, I offer my services. To further elaborate, I will contact you so that we can mutually decide on a meeting date and time. If you need to contact me before that, please feel free to do so at (555) 555-5555.
