Why a School Secretary Recommendation Letter is Important?

Employers cannot possibly 100% rely on the information provided by job seekers in school secretary resumes and cover letters.

They have to have something extra to believe that the candidate has a good track record.

But how?

A good source is a recommendation letter.

Employers often ask candidates to provide references to prove that they can work well and get along with people.

But there are other things that a recommendation letter is good for.

Recommendations provide prospective employers with something to fall back on.

If the employee is hired and does something that is considered negative in the company environment, the reference is held accountable.

Also, the fact that someone has provided a recommendation will dissuade the applicant from behaving negatively. It is a chain!

What to Include in a school secretary recommendation letter?

Reference or recommendation letters are written with one thought in mind – I need to paint this person as someone positive so that he can get a job.

As a principal, it is your duty to make sure that you paint a rosy picture of the candidate. Got nothing good to say about him or her? Decline to write a recommendation letter!

I am very pleased to write this recommendation on behalf of Irene Woods who has worked as a school secretary at Kansas City Public School for 5 years. As her supervisor, I have seen Irene perform her work with meticulousness and extreme conscientiousness over the years. Her people skills are exceptional and her responsiveness is to be commended.

As an organized individual, Irene has ensured that our school office is run productively and smoothly throughout the semester. She puts in extra hours during exam time and has also been quite contributory during school fairs. Even though it was not required of her, she created a student handbook to help new students get acquainted with the campus, which shows her initiative and loyalty to her employer.

I must also make note of Irene’s will to upgrade her skills – while she worked for Kansas City Public School, she enrolled herself in a secretarial study program to build upon her understanding of the work. She has consistently demonstrated an ability to rise to challenges and come out shining while maintaining constant decorum.
