- Oversee and lead staff members involved in the protection of natural resources, and human-made ones such as watersheds and water supply systems.
- Engage visitors in conversation to provide them with insight into the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
- Investigate incidents such as accidents and injuries that may have transpired within assigned areas.
- Provide a law enforcement presence within designated areas, ensuring that vandalism and other nefarious activities are discouraged.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of different equipment and rides within the park or assigned territory to ensure that all is in good working order.
- Educate the public about wildlife, and nature reserves, in a bid to help them understand the importance of both.
- Perform presentations and lead workshops on the importance of a healthy environment, and the maintenance of ecology within assigned areas.
- Investigate suspicious persons and incidents, and make arrests where probable causes exist, within the scope of authority.
- Create and submit reports on all unusual incidents, including accidents, and acts of vandalism.
- Testify at trials, and note dispositions made to specific cases by the court.
- Investigate and report instances of contamination of natural resources, or violation of facility procedures.
