What inspired you to apply for an order picker position at our organization?
I have always been in awe of the way your warehouse is run, thanks to a short internship I did here 3 years ago. Since then, I have been hopeful of bagging a position as an order picker. The opportunity to do so has only just arisen at your company.
What duties have you performed in the role of an order filler previously?
Comprehending written and oral order picking instructions, determining the exact location of the item, picking and comparing it with work orders, transporting it to the packing area and ensuring that it is packed and labelled properly, and ensuring that the packed item is shipped in a timely manner have all been part of my work as an order filler.
What skills do you possess which make you a great person to hire as an order filler?
I am physically strong and can easily pick and move items weighing up to 100lbs. Apart from this, I can operate pallet jacks and forklifts, and have a great capacity to manage warehouse inventory. Since I have worked extensively in this position in a warehouse environment, I am knowledgeable about the different aspects of handling order filling work in this capacity.
What is the one skill that you believe is most important in this work?
I believe that there is no one skill that one can depend on solely. Working as an order filler means that you have to use a wide array of skills to be successful at what you do.
What is your experience with handling paperwork?
My experience in handling paperwork is quite extensive, as I am also responsible for ensuring that the right documents are created and sent along with all outgoing shipments.
Where do you want this career to lead you?
Eventually, I would want to run the operations of a busy and fast-paced warehouse, a feat that I am already working diligently towards.
