Recreation Officer Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: September 14, 2017

Going through one cover letter is pretty much similar to going through others – that is, if you do not bother making your cover letter of the standout quality.

It is true that for someone who has written many cover letters over time, it may be a bit difficult to write one that is a cut above the others. However, it is important to make sure that one does this, so that a hiring manager is more inclined towards him or her when going through their job application document.

Recreation Officer cover letters are great communication tools, which help job seekers in providing hiring managers with extensive information about what they are capable of.

In fact, a cover letter is your only tool to build up on your skills and competencies in detail. Also, you can highlight your accomplishments in a cover letter, aiming to convince a hiring manager that you can replicate them for his or her organization.

A cover letter sample for a recreation officer position is provided below:

Mr. Henry Ford
Human Resource Manager
YMCA
450 Michelle Avenue
Pearl River, LA 91244

Dear Mr. Ford:

I am the person behind the success of the Go To activity that was all the rage in Pearl River 5 months ago. Having managed to handle and lead the activity with over 600 participants, I have since then been asked to organize and lead a wide variety of recreational activities, for all age groups. Putting this on the table, I would like to apply for the position of a Recreation Officer at YMCA.

Strategizing, planning and implementing leisure needs assessment processes, interpreting correlating results, and preparing strategies to provide enhanced customer services are all my strong points. Deep comprehension of developing and implementing safety rules, aimed at preventing injury, and effectively modifying each recreational activity to meet the needs of specific groups is my niche.

I have spent the last few years diligently working with special needs groups, effectively providing them with a chance to participate in recreational activities. In addition to this, I am well-versed in managing the budgetary requirements of each service, ensuring that all activities are planned and executed within set financial limits.

Anticipating working at YMCA by providing the same diligence and professionalism, I invite you to review the enclosed resume. I will call you in a week’s time to follow up and arrange an interview to discuss my talents in detail. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Gloria Frank
