As a parking enforcement officer, I have been responsible for assisting people park vehicles in assigned areas, enforcing parking rules and regulations, issuing tickets and citations to illegally parked vehicles, monitoring parking meters, ensuring that no violations are evident, and handling vehicular security patrolling activities.
What skills do you possess that make you an excellent individual to hire as a parking enforcement officer?
I believe that I am a great communicator, which makes it easy for me to get my point across to people. Educating the public about parking rules and violations is a piece of cake when your communication and interpersonal skills are exceptional.
How do you handle the adversities associated with this job?

How do you feel about working outdoors, in inclement weather?
Working as a parking enforcement officer means that inclement weather comes with the territory. I have no issues in working in extreme weather conditions. In fact, it only adds to the challenge!
Tell us about a difficult day that you had at work, and how you handled it.
I was once overseeing parking arrangements for a huge event at the facility where I was working. Halfway through the event, I realized that the parking arrangements were not sufficient to accommodate all the vehicles. It was quite a harrowing experience making arrangements to manage so many cars, but I managed to do so by immediately securing the services of 6 valets.
