1. What have been your main duties while working in the capacity of a parking enforcement officer?

As a parking enforcement officer, I have been responsible for assisting people to park vehicles in assigned areas, enforcing parking rules and regulations, issuing tickets and citations to illegally parked vehicles, monitoring parking meters, ensuring that no violations are evident, and handling vehicular security patrolling activities.

2. What is the most significant skills do you possess that make you an excellent individual to hire as a parking enforcement officer?

I believe that I am a great communicator, which makes it easy for me to get my point across to people. Educating the public about parking rules and violations is a piece of cake when your communication and interpersonal skills are exceptional.

3. How do you handle the adversities associated with this job?

Adversities are all in a day’s work for me – ensuring that these are tackled according to the protocol is what this work is all about. I am forever prepared for these things, and make sure that I come out on top of any adverse situation that I may find myself to be part of.

4. What is the one thing that you do not like about working as a parking enforcement officer?

To be honest, I love every part of my work. I cannot put my finger on anything that I dislike about the work.

5. How do you feel about working outdoors, in inclement weather?

Working as a parking enforcement officer means that inclement weather comes with the territory. I have no issues in working in extreme weather conditions. In fact, it only adds to the challenge!

6. Tell us about a difficult day that you had at work, and how you handled it.

What do you consider to be your biggest professional achievement?

I was once overseeing parking arrangements for a huge event at the facility where I was working. Halfway through the event, I realized that the parking arrangements were not sufficient to accommodate all the vehicles. It was quite a harrowing experience making arrangements to manage so many cars, but I managed to do so by immediately securing the services of 6 valets.
