• Provide leadership for the planning and management of the school’s instructional program.

• Supervise and evaluate personnel such as teachers, assistant teachers and administrative staff to ensure that they are working on schedule.

• Assist the principal in creating and implementing core school curriculum, aiming to keep it in sync with state and federal guidelines.

• Provide support in interviewing, hiring, training and developing new staff members according to the policies and procedures of the school system.

• Observe teachers and co-teachers to determine their specific needs for training and development, and ensure that appropriate programs are implemented to cater to them.

• Establish and maintain an effective learning environment within the school, in accordance with specified objectives.

• Evaluate staff members to ensure that they are working in a profound manner, and provide counseling where required.

• Develop and implement tools to collect and analyze classroom data to inform instruction and provide meaningful feedback.

• Create and implement an instructional supportive assessment system, aimed at student learning.

• Engage with students to assess their learning needs and address how the school can best meet them.

• Plan and organize student and parent programs, and ensure that they are carried out according to academic protocols.
