Mr. Jared Smith
Manager Human Resources
Passenger Ally
46 Mark Twain Road
Baltimore, MD 82736

Dear Mr. Smith:

I was pleased to see your posting for an entry level Bus Driver because it so closes my qualifications. I am eager to begin my driving career with an organization that has proven its ability to retain its customers by hiring consistent professionals. Having recently obtained a commercial driver’s license, I believe that I have what it takes to be considered as part of your commercial bus driving team.

Someone once said destinations are more important than travel. If you look at this phrase literally, I would disagree. Passengers take much more interest in the commute than they do in the destination – destinations are predictable. And I know exactly how to make commuting for passengers safe, fun and a learning experience.

With a natural knack for interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, I am capable of ensuring that run-of-the-mill travel is made exciting for all involved. But I also know where to draw the line – the thin line between getting personal, and professionalism is something I am always careful of. Additionally, I possess extensive knowledge of running, maintaining and making minor repairs on commuter buses – I have seven months’ worth of automobile maintenance training to my name.

I look forward to meeting with you to discuss my potential for a bus driver position at Passenger Ally and will call you on Monday to see if an interview can be arranged. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

(Signature)

Wesley Sherwood
