Cover Letter for Customer Service Representative

It is not every day that you have to write a cover letter to accompany your resume. And since you do not write cover letters too often, it usually becomes a problem when you have no choice but to write one. Remember that a cover letter is little more than your work-related aspirations and skills on a piece of paper. Even though a cover letter is a short document, it does need to have a sizeable effect on the employer, making him believe that you are the best choice that he has.

Cover letters are highly misunderstood by people who write them. Mostly, a cover letter is written in direct imitation of the corresponding resume. This is wrong. Cover letters do not replicate resumes – they complement them. What is the use of sending two separate documents that say the same thing? If you do this, you are simply wasting your time and that of the person who will read it. Be smart about writing cover letters. Do not simply rewrite your resume is a prose form. Instead, chart out your abilities and achievements so that the employer understands who you are and what you can do for him.
