Ward clerks work under the supervision of the Ward Manager or Charge RN. Their major tasks include; answering phones, greeting patients, compiling, verifying, filing medical records of patients and performing general data entry. They have to ensure the confidentiality of patients and family and responsible to storing or disposing of outdated files, arranging records and helping with laboratory work.
