1. Why do you want to work as a groundskeeper?

I love the great outdoors. Working with nature is something that I have always aspired to do. Working as a groundskeeper helps me realize this dream. And to be perfectly candid, I love the work as well.

What duties have you performed in the role of a groundskeeper in the past?
As a groundskeeper, I have been handling many work duties such as ensuring the overall maintenance of assigned grounds or areas.

Specifically, I have been planting seeds and seedlings, nurturing plants, trees, bushes, and flowers, and ensuring that they are looked after properly. Also, I have been busy handling trash removal work and washing side areas, and parking lots.

2. What skills do you possess which make you an excellent person to hire as a groundskeeper?

My love for work is my best skill. I am well-versed in determining groundskeeping needs by doing a once-over. And I am exceptionally talented in planting shrubs, trees, and flowers, and pruning them too.

In addition, I am competent in spraying insecticides in order to ensure that infestations do not transpire. Another thing that I am adept in is operating and maintaining tools and equipment such as rakes, shovels, spades, and snow removal machines.

3. How do you feel about working in a capacity where you are at the mercy of the elements?

Since I have always been an outdoor person, working in rain or sunshine is no issue for me. In fact, I take these as challenges associated with this work.

4. Tell us about one of your weaknesses.

By nature, I am a perfectionist. This makes it difficult for me to be pleased with my own work. However, I am working on setting realistic goals for myself.

5. On a scale of 1 to 10, where do you rate your skills as a groundskeeper?

I would give myself a realistic 7. Even though I am well-versed in this work, I believe that one never stops learning.
