Greenhouse Worker Interview Questions and Answers
What made you decide that you wanted to work as a greenhouse worker?
I have always loved working in the great outdoors, and with nature. I decided to take up a career in a greenhouse worker capacity because it would allow me to do a little bit of both. There is nothing better than enjoying the work that you do.
What duties have you performed in the role of a greenhouse worker?
As a greenhouse worker, I have performed a plethora of activities such as preparing soils for different types of trees and plants, planting flowers, shrubs, plants, and trees, ensuring that they are safe from insects, pests, and diseases, harvesting them for selling or replanting purposes, handling customer liaison, and ensuring that inventory control is maintained in a proper manner.
What skills do you possess which make you an excellent person to hire as a greenhouse worker?
I possess vast knowledge of the different types of plants, flowers, and trees that can be planted in different weather conditions. Apart from this, I am well-versed in handling a wide variety of activities such as planting and harvesting, and soil preparation. Moreover, my knowledge of handling pest control activities aimed at keeping the greens away from harm is something that I am quite proud of.
Speaking of pest control, what is your modus operandi to ensure that infestations are minimized?
I do not concentrate on minimizing infestations – I make sure that I eradicate them. I have devised a foolproof organic way of ensuring that infestations do not take place in the first place, and if they do, they are eradicated before they have a chance to destroy my crops.
What is the most challenging thing about working as a greenhouse worker?
When I had not discovered and implemented the unique pest control system which I just told you about, I found controlling infestations to be the most difficult thing about working as a greenhouse worker. Now, I do not see anything associated with the work challenging or complicated.
What has been your most significant achievement in the last year?
I have a number of achievements to my name, but if we talk about last year only, I managed to uproot and replant a 12 feet tall tree, which would otherwise have been cut down to make a highway!
