It is essential to write a resignation letter well before time to inform your employer about your intent to leave from waitress position.

We agree that writing waitress resignation letters is not easy because you might have developed affinity with the workplace and the prospect of leaving can make the situation quite sad.

However, by writing a resignation letter, you give your employer a chance to look for someone in your place. If you leave without notice, you might loose the chance of re-employment or obtaining a good recommendation letter.

Mr. Rupert Josh
Restaurant Manager
Captain Cook’s
651 First Street
Romney, WV 18362

Dear Mr. Josh:

Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from my position as Waitress for Captain Cook’s. Please note that October 31 will be my last working day.

By the end of this November, I need to relocate to Ontario, Canada where my husband has been offered a new job that cannot be refused and I must move with him.

During the previous 7 years that I have worked here, I have not only gained experience working in a restaurant environment but have also been given an opportunity to extend my friendship bank. All of my supervisors and colleagues developed me for which I am eternally grateful.

Before I leave, I would like to train my replacement so that they customer flow at Captain Cook’s in not disturbed in any way. Please let me know if you have anyone in mind whom you would like me to train.

I would appreciate if you expedite my leaving documents and any accumulated dues to make this transition smooth. Thank you for providing me with this amazing opportunity.

Sincerely,
