Facilities Maintenance Technician Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: August 4, 2016

To use a cover letter template or not! We ask ourselves this question many times when we are in the process of applying for a facilities maintenance technician position. It is confusing, we agree. What if we are judged on the fact that we used a template? Will our chances of employment go down? Well, it is possible that the employer does not take too kindly to your using a popular template, especially if you have not been clever enough to change it a little.

Using a template is not really an issue – the issue is copying word for work what is written in it. Employers are clever people too; if you have been shrewd enough to copy off the Internet, they too will have plagiarism software to determine where you have copied it from. And believe us, they will not be too happy if they see someone else’s work being copied!

So what do you do? You write your cover letter from scratch. You do not copy from anyone. You create your own content even if it takes you an entire day to write a 350 word cover letter. And then you can choose a format (from the Internet if you desire) and affix your own writing on it. What do you have? A perfectly written, original cover letter that promises to knock the socks off the prospective employer!

Here is a sample cover letter for a facilities maintenance technician position.
