Even though a teacher recommendation letter has a to ‘whom it may concern’ header, it is one of the most important documents that you will write as an employer. Based on this letter, an ex-employee will apply for another job.

At the time of writing a reference letter for a teacher position, make sure that you have all the facts in front of you.

If you have agreed to write a recommendation letter means that the teacher for whom you’re writing it is worth it.

Firstly, gather information such as his or her time at your school or college, and how they contributed.

Next, you need to see how much praise you can include in the recommendation letter.

To Whom It May Concern

I am writing this letter in favor of Rebecca Hammond, who has worked as a Lead Primary School Teacher at St. Mary’s School for 6 years. She has been a constant source of inspiration and support to both students and fellow teachers during her time here.

Rebecca joined our school as a teaching assistant in 2012 and quickly made her way up to that of a lead teacher. Owing to her dedication, she contribute to the school as much as she does. At the time that the school was going through a crisis due to extensive competition, she introduced a learn by play system; as a result, increased the student body by a whopping 50%. The system which she introduced is now used as the core form of education and has received great commendation from the school board.

As far as Rebecca’s students are concerned, they are taken care of well, educationally, and emotionally, leading her to receive Teacher of the Year Award 4 times.

With great confidence, I recommend her for any teaching position that she may want to acquire at a primary level. While I am sad to see her leave, I wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Mark Hamill
