Reading Specialist Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: April 9, 2019

It is a fact that cover letters were simple documents when they were first written.

Competition and the need for candidates to get ahead in the employment race led to their evolution.

Equally contributory has been employers’ insistence on finding the best out of the lot. To feed both these, the cover letter had no choice but to be what it is nowadays – a one-page document that is full of valuable information about an individual’s professional history.

Perhaps the evolution was necessary as it has provided employers with a better chance of finding the right person for a job.

Nonetheless, it does place immense pressure on the candidate who will obviously find it challenging to write a Reading Specialist cover letter that is the best!

In a competitive job world, how does one make sure that one’s cover letter is one of the best?

The answer to this is simple – cover letters may have evolved but the basic requirements of employers are the same.

They still want relevance and propriety of language.

Dear Mr. Wazaoski:

As a successful reading specialist who has achieved many targets over the years owing to exceptional insight into creating and implementing dedicated and age-appropriate reading programs for students, I am positive that my profile will greatly interest you. Perhaps my greatest accomplishment has been actively incorporating Bookflix into regular reading programs which led to a 75% increase in students willingly opting for enrolling into advanced reading modules.

Furthermore, you will discover from my profile that I am dedicated to incorporating novel methodologies of reading, and have successfully tweaked my reading programs to meet the diverse needs of students with dyslexia and other limitations. It would perhaps be prudent to mention here that I am the person behind the concept of Library on Wheels, which has created a positive uproar in the city, especially amongst children who have just been introduced to reading!

Confident that I can provide great leadership in forwarding your school’s vision, I would like to meet with you in person and discuss this further. I will call you soon to see if you have a time slot free in your schedule. Should you need to contact me, please feel free to do so at (000) 965-2521.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
