Dear Ms. Spencer:

It is with great regret that I am writing this letter to resign from my position as a Staff Nurse for Sacramento Family Hospital. As per the terms of my contract, I am required to provide a two weeks’ notice of my intention to leave. Keeping this in mind, I will continue to work until April 4.

Working at Sacramento Family Hospital helped me tremendously in developing the skills and expertise in the nursing profession. Working under your supervision was more than just a learning experience – in fact, it was the peak time of my career in nursing that I could not have hoped to achieve anywhere else. Please accept a big thanks to your support and the numerous opportunities you have provided me as a staff nurse. I am very grateful for your mentorship.

If you would like me to hand over my tasks and records to another staff nurse, please provide me with specific instructions. Also, if there is any accumulated annual leave that I am entitled to, please let me know when and how I can take benefit of it.
