Interview time! What do you do?
How do you measure up? Will you ace it?
Or will the interview process leave you scarred for life?
Interviews can go in any way. It is up to you to steer them into the right direction. You have to make sure that you are prepared for all eventualities.
Do not leave anything to fate. Make sure that you are well prepared for all the questions that will be thrown at you.
For a fast food crew member position, the following questions can be asked at an interview:
Why did you opt to work in a fast food restaurant?
I like working in fast-paced environments. And since food service is my forte, it made sense to work in a fast food restaurant since I will get to do what I want, where I want to do it!
How do you ensure high quality customer services?
I make sure that I follow all customer service rules. Once you follow procedures and protocols, nothing can stop you from ensuring high quality customer services.
How important is training when it comes to working in a food service environment?
There is no way that you can perform well in a food service environment if you are not trained well. Training makes sure that you are ready to take on the world where customer and food service is concerned.
As a crew member, what has been your highest achievement so far?
Last year, I was responsible for singlehandedly processing orders for 185 customers in one day! And since there were no complaints or order mix-ups, I believe that I accomplished great customer satisfaction. Also, this incident earned me the title of Employee of the Year, which is the biggest title that is awarded to crew members in my present place of work.
Why do you want to leave your present job?
I am presently looking for a more challenging position than I hold at the moment. Although I understand that the work will be more or less the same, your restaurant offers more in terms of diverse customer bases and increased traffic.
As far as food preparation is concerned, what is your experience?
I am trained in using a variety of kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers and ovens to prepare food items. I am well-versed in following set recipes and timelines for food preparation and ensuring that all related activities are carried out with hygiene and sanitation standards in mind.
