1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I have been working as a delivery driver for 10 years. I have worked for the best delivery services in the country. At this point in time, my focus is to work for the best of the best, which is your organization.

2. What specific duties have you been doing while working at this position?

As a delivery driver, I have been performing many duties such as following instructions to pick up packages from dispatch hubs and delivering them to the right customers. Apart from this, I have been busy ensuring that assigned vehicles are properly cleaned and serviced before they are used for delivery purposes. Moreover, my work involves ensuring that I remain in touch with dispatch officers so that delivery status is communicated to them.

3. What are some of the main skills that you possess?

I am a thorough individual, who is organized and meticulous. I make sure that I fulfill my responsibilities properly. My job-specific skills include excellent knowledge of package handling, exceptional customer service abilities, and great knowledge of ensuring package safety and integrity.

4. What do you like most about this work?

I love the fact that I get to see new challenges every day. For me, it is important to be able to enjoy my work

5. What do you dislike about this work?

While I do not actually dislike this work from any end, I sometimes feel that it can get tedious especially during inclement weather. However, that is part and parcel of the work, and I try not to dwell on it.

6. How do you manage adversity in the workplace?

In my line of work, adversity is not that big an issue as I usually work solo. However, when it does arise, I make sure that I do not dwell on it much so that it doesn’t affect my work.

7. How do you feel about working in a position where you have to be outdoors most of the time?

Being outdoors does not bother me at all. Part of the reason that I chose this work was because of the fact that I love sunshine, and the great outdoors.

8. What is your greatest strength?

My greatest strength is my ability to work on long shifts, without getting tired or compromising on service quality.

9. What is your biggest weakness?

I feel that I do too much at times. Most days, I go out of my way to perform my work, which tires me.

10. What do you do when you come across an angry customer?

Unhappy customers are all part of the deal, and I do not mind dealing with them. My method is simple. Find out exactly what makes the customer angry, and then try to resolve it as best as possible.

11. Have you ever lost your temper with a customer or a coworker?

Never. I believe that when you lose your temper, you lose everything. I also believe in ensuring that problems are resolved, rather than concentrating on being on the right side.

12. Tell me of a time when you did something and came out shining?

I have many achievements to my name. The most recent one was when I delivered 13 packages in 2 hours, without being late for any single delivery.

13. As far as vehicle maintenance work is concerned, where do you stand?

I firmly believe that vehicle maintenance is the single most important thing when you are working as a delivery driver. I make sure that the vehicle assigned to me is in good working order before I leave for work on my shift. I also ensure that all repair and maintenance issues are properly communicated to the supervisor as soon as possible.

14. Have you ever had a malfunctioning vehicle while making deliveries? What did you do?

I have never been this unfortunate. However, I have helped a fellow delivery driver during one of his routes when his truck broke down. I was on the way and saw him struggling. I quickly implemented my repair and maintenance skills and ensured that the problem was resolved. And both of us could deliver our parcels in a timely manner.

15. What is the most important thing about working in delivery?

I opine that working as a delivery driver requires one to be consistent in services. Timely deliveries and excellent customer services are prime.

16. Why do you want to work for FedEx particularly?

I want to work for FedEx because of the great reputation it holds. I want to represent a company that upholds its promise of timely deliveries, and excellent customer services.

17. Why do you want to leave your current job?

Unfortunately, the company that I am presently working for is moving operations to another city. It is impossible for me to relocate at this point in time.

18. If we hire you, when can you join us?

I can join you within 15 days of handing in my notice.

19. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I hope to be working at FedEx as a delivery fleet supervisor within the next 5 years.
