BCBA Cover Letter Writing Tips

A board-certified behavioral analyst or BCBA cover letter needs to possess information on the individual’s ability to handle clients diagnosed with behavioral or social challenges.

An individual hoping to obtain a position as a BCBA needs to highlight his or her knowledge of using appropriate assessment tools and data to develop programs for each client.

Your cover letter for a BCBA position needs to be spot on with the requirements of the employer. Look at the job description provided by the employer and then choose your words carefully.

For instance, if the hiring manager has asked to hire a BCBA who has had professional training in the field, focus on what your training has taught you.

When writing a cover letter, concentrate on your ability to handle a wide variety of cases.

Focus on your knowledge of the work in terms of assessing patients, and ensuring that all treatment plans are well-placed.

A cover letter for a BCBA position is provided below as a sample:

Mr. Freddy Mercury
Human Resources Manager
CentennialHealth Center

Dear Mr. Mercury:

I recently saw your advertisement for a board certified behavior analyst position at Centennial Health Center. The fact that my skills align perfectly with what you have asked for in your advertisement, makes me an excellent person to hire at this position.

At the moment, I am working for MedBridge Healthcare, where I have many clients on my panel. Owing to the fact that I can determine clients’ specific behavioral and emotional problems, I am often assigned clients with complex challenges. This ability has made me a favorite of many of my clients, who have referred others to me. Perhaps my most challenging case was handling a child with behavioral issues, which threatened her sanity. Owing to the great efficacy of the program that I developed and implemented, she was rehabilitated within the set timeline.

One of my major strengths is to conduct structured, periodic reviews to monitor the effectiveness of treatment programs and their implementation. I am sure that your facility will gain much from hiring me as a BCBA, due to a vast knowledge of the work, and extensive experience in it.

It will be pertinent to meet in person soon so that I can further highlight my skills as a BCBA. I will be in touch with your office to set up a meeting time. I can be reached at (000) 928-2837 if required.

Sincerely,

Moose Mason
