Fitness Coordinator Interview Questions and Answers

What does physical fitness mean to you?
To be perfectly candid, physical fitness means everything to me. As someone who thoroughly comprehends the problems and issues related to lack of physical fitness, I am a great advocate of being physically fit, no matter what age you are.

As a fitness coordinator, what have been your duties in a past role?
Having worked as a fitness coordinator for over 4 years now, I have been actively working with clients to provide them with insight into what they require in terms of physical fitness. Engaging clients in conversation to determine their specific requirements, and creating and implementing well-placed fitness programs is all in a day’s work for me. In addition to this, I have been actively assisting clients in the use of fitness equipment, leading by example. Also, my duties included making sure that all client scheduling work is performed correctly, and that their fitness regimes are monitored.

What skills do you believe a fitness coordinator needs to work at this position?
To work as a fitness coordinator, one must possess the knowledge of different physical fitness regimes, and how they must be implemented. The ability to determine clients’ conditions, to provide them with the right type of advice and the capability of tweaking fitness programs to meet the dynamic needs of each client is also very important. In addition to this, one needs to be a great communicator, so that the “hows” and “whats” of a fitness plan can be properly communicated to clients.

What do you find most challenging about this work?
To be honest, working as a fitness coordinator is challenging on the whole. This is because each client has his or her own goal, and one has to make sure that all goals are met promptly.

What has been your highest accomplishment till now?
One of my clients had extremely high blood pressure and sugar levels, which is why she came to me for advice. Through a well-managed fitness and nutrition program, (and a lot of effort at her end and mine), she lost 85kg, which resulted in both her conditions disappearing like magic. This, I believe was my highest accomplishment.

Do you think it is crucial for fitness coordinators to be fit themselves? Explain.
Yes, fitness coordinators must be physically fit. That is because they have to act as positive role models for their clients.
