1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I have been working in communications for over 3 years now, having started out as an intern in a publication concern. Since then, I have worked quite hard in establishing myself as a communications individual, and have been quite successful at it.

2. What duties have you performed in the role of a communications coordinator?

As a communications coordinator, I have been educating and informing organizations about strategies, policies, products, and programs that affect and impact customers. My work has largely revolved around facilitating change by reinforcing behaviors consistent with the company’s brand. Managing communications schedules, building strategies, implementing processes, and analyzing key metrics has been a large part of my work.

3. What skills do you possess which make you an excellent person to work as a communications coordinator?

I am a highly trainable individual, which makes it easy for me to learn new things. Apart from this, I am exceptionally talented in preparing segmentation processes. Also, my ability to collect, analyze, and report on key metrics is excellent. Moreover, I can train other staff members to work in a communications capacity, ensuring excellent coordination.

4. What do you like most about this work?

I am a great communicator, which makes it easy for me to do my job. This ease and the processes associated with communications coordination make me love this work.

I do not dislike anything about this work, since it has been my passion to work in this arena for a long. I feel that personal dislike should not be factored into the workplace, as it makes it less professional to work.

I am great at handling stress. I make sure that I work in a manner that is conducive to stress management. I ensure that my work processes are completely transparent and doable, which makes it easy to handle work-related stress.

7. Describe your perfect work environment.

I will be honest and say that the perfect work environment does not exist. I have never worked in one. Instead of looking for such an environment, I try to make my environment as friendly as possible so that I can ensure productivity.

8. Tell us about a time when you handled a difficult situation with great skill.

I am a great problem solver, and I have proven that on many occasions. Quite recently, I was presented with a huge problem regarding the acquisition of outreach materials for a communications event that we were doing. The vendor backed out 3 days before the event, and I was left to deal with an unfinished order worth 3500 giveaways. Within 2 days, I successfully procured the giveaways and ensured that no negative impact was made on the event.

I feel that I fit in exceptionally well with the profile that you have set for the position of a communications coordinator. While I am sure that other candidates have solid profiles too, I am positive that I have an edge over them owing to my diverse and unique past experience.

I was actively searching for such a position when I came across your advertisement on a social media post. It seemed as if my prayers had been answered, as the profile you were looking for was exactly what I had to offer.

11. What is your biggest achievement so far?

My biggest achievement has been to singlehandedly create and implement a corporate communications strategy, which was highly successful in helping the company meet its outreach goals.

My dream job is to be able to work in a capacity where I can fully utilize my diverse skill set. I completely believe that a dream job is directly proportional to how well you handle the work.

I was once writing a policy for a communications project and was told that I need to make it lucrative for only one end of the deal. That made me feel that it was a shady deal, and I expressed my disagreement. The client was not too happy with my feedback, but he had no choice but to agree that what I had said was corporate ethics.

17. How do you think other people would describe you?

I am sure that other people would say that I am an easy individual to work with. They will also tell you that I am thoroughly professional, with a great insight into how communications and related processes work.

18. What can we expect from you for the first three months at work?

I am positive that I can create, change, modify, and improve your present communication policies, ensuring that corporate processes are ideally followed.

19. What do you like to do outside of work?

I am a professional cyclist. I have cycling groups with whom I go on long treks over the weekends.

I feel that the will to do something more than anyone else has ever done is what drives work in any job.

Honestly, I have no problems in my current job. However, I am looking for a position in which I can grow further up, and not become stunted after a while.

My work style with coworkers is that of utmost respect and constant assistance. I ensure that I work in tandem with them, and factor in their likes and dislikes every time we work together on a project.

As far as work is concerned, it has always been my priority. I ensure that I finish what is most important in terms of deadlines, and promises.

24. What motivates you the most?

A good team and a proactive manager motivate me the most.

25. What demotivates you the most?

While demotivation is a word that is not part of my professional dictionary, negativity at the workplace makes me uncomfortable.

26. What do you do when negativity hits you?

Fortunately, I am an exceptionally positive person, who finds a silver lining with every cloud. When negativity hits, I start thinking of a solution to move things towards positivity.

27. How do you plan to achieve your work goals?

My only planning is hard work and nothing else. I believe that through hard work, one can achieve anything.

28. If we decide to hire you, when can you join us?

I have to give a notice period of 2 weeks to my present employer. At the end of that notice period, I can join your company.

29. Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

I see myself working as a communications head for your organization.
