Painter Assistant Qualifications

There are no specific academic requirements to work as a painter assistant. Most of the times, you will be taught the work on the job, and will not be required to possess prior knowledge. However, you must be able to read and follow instructions and ensure that safety procedures are properly followed.

Working in the role of a painter assistant is not without its complexities. You often have to work in the extreme heat and cold, both indoors and outdoors. And you have to be on your feet most of the day – at times, you will be asked to stoop and bend to paint in places that are hard to reach, so you must be physically dexterous.

Also, it is imperative that you know how to mix painting products so that you can create a hue or color according to what the customers want.
