You must have an excellent head for heights, as you might be asked to climb high to paint something. • Work on painting buildings, both completed and in an uncompleted state, and other structures.
• Climb high scaffoldings on construction sites to reach the location of work, as necessary.
• Use power tools, hand tools, and equipment when needed, to support the work of painting.
• Apply paint to buildings and other structures, by using spray guns, rollers, brushes or other tools.
• Put latex, oil, enamel, stain, patching compounds, primers or sealers on surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colors or types of paint to get the desired shades and regularities.
• Use putty, caulk or plaster to fill in cracks and holes or anything else that needs masking.
• Protect surfaces using plastic sheets, drops cloths, masking tape, or other materials as needed.
