As a document that gives you the opportunity to tell the employer what type of work you are looking for and to entice him to learn more about you, the passenger service agent cover letter is undoubtedly important. Sounding positive in a resume is a given. Apart from this, you need to make sure that each paragraph sounds different – it doesn’t give off a very good impression if each paragraph that you write, begins with the same word. Small things matter, yes!
The Opening Paragraph
• Explain what makes you interested in the company and the position
• If someone referred you, a little name-dropping won’t hurt
• Entice the reader right at the beginning by making them want to know you through your enthusiasm
The Middle Paragraph
• Draw attention to your resume and highlight the specific skills that you possess
• Talk about relevant experiences, especially if they have not been mentioned in the resume
• Break things up by using short examples and illustrate your important qualities
• Demonstrate your knowledge of the employer by showing that you have done your homework
• Focus on what you can contribute to the company and not the other way around
The Closing Paragraph
• Ask for an interview or tell the reader that you will be calling in to ask for one
• Restate your contact information – email address and telephone number
• Thank the reader for his time
