Updated on: June 17, 2019

A youth worker’s cover letter needs to be excellently written so that a hiring manager can gauge his or her skills.

However, at the entry level, this is a bit challenging.

It is possible that you may get a bit stuck at writing a cover letter. And that is why we are here to help.

Writing a cover letter for a youth worker position will require you to offer information such as the ability to assess the needs of young people in order to plan and deliver programs in areas such as health, fitness, and rehabilitation.

This is an important job, which is why if an employer hires you at the entry level, he will make sure that you can do the job properly.

That is why you need to make sure that you provide information about your ability to support young clients in different areas, including outreach work.

Mr. Dyke Crawford
Human Resources Manager
Holy Cross Services
45 Summer Hill Road
Augusta, ME 73690

Dear Mr. Crawford:

When I saw your advertisement for the open position of a youth worker, I realized that this work was right down my alley. In fact, I had been looking for just such a position, and the job description is exactly what I have to offer. Please look through the enclosed resume for further details on my skills as a youth worker.

I have held volunteer positions for 2 summers at the local YMCA, where I helped young adults cope with issues such as drugs, violence, and smoking addiction. I have some exposure to monitoring and reviewing plans created for each individual, and can also assist in developing programs. Since I am an easy person to talk to, my outreach efforts are almost always successful –building meaningful relationships with clients is easy for me due to my personality. In addition, I have worked in a mentorship role as well, owing to which I have helped rehabilitate 6 people in the program that I was part of.

Positive that meeting with me in person will shed more light on my suitability for a youth worker position at Holy Cross Services, I will contact your office so that an interview can be arranged. In the meantime, you may call me at (000) 387-7103.

Thank you for considering my candidacy for the Youth Worker job at Holy Cross Services.

Sincerely,

Jenny Sutton
