Sample Reference Letter for Domestic Worker

Updated on May 13, 2019

General Overview

Domestic workers are hired to look after the cleaning and upkeep needs of people who do not have time to do them or need assistance in doing them.

These professionals might be employed on a full or a part-time basis depending on the particular needs of the employers.

Some domestic workers also live with the family that they work for and are required to handle not just household chores but also provide childcare.

When people say that housework is easy, they are wrong; there is so much to do, and it is not just the actual activities that matter but how they are done.

While the need for domestic workers is high in these times, hiring the right one is often tricky.

Due to a significant rise in crime rates, background checks now hold much more important than they did just a few years ago.

After all, you cannot leave your house in the hands of just anyone even if it is for a few hours.

When you are seeking a domestic worker’s job, a strong reference letter can go a long way in deciding your candidature. This is what a reference letter for a domestic worker looks like!

To Whom It May Concern

This letter is a strong recommendation for Salina Davis in any role of domestic work. Salina Davis started working as a domestic worker at my home in the summer of 2018 temporarily. I believed that I would need her for just one summer when all my children were home, and housework was driving me up to the wall. I retained her services because she has proved that she is valuable to me not only where household chores are concerned but with my children too.

Due to her continuous efforts, my house remained clean, clothes were neatly hung, and children are well fed. There is no praise bigger than this. Salina has lived with my family and had never given me any chance to object to her behavior. She is an excellent cook and is aware of the nutritional needs of children.

Once again, I recommend her for any position that involves household chores. If there is anything that you would like to discuss with me about Salina’s work record, I can be reached at (000) 111-1111.

I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
