Working as a park ranger sounds like a lot of fun. But if you are about to apply for your first job in this capacity, you will know that it is not all fun and games.
In fact, you will have to make a lot of effort to work as a park ranger, and when writing a cover letter to apply for the job.
In your cover letter for a park ranger position (entry-level), make sure that you highlight your interest in the work.
If you have worked in a volunteer capacity in a similar role, do mention it.
Research the position fully before you begin writing your cover letter. And make sure that you highlight the fact that you love nature, and enjoy working outdoors.
It is important to note that your cover letter for a park ranger position has to offer all the information that the hiring manager is looking for.

Mr. Justin Scott
Human Resources Manager
Pine Acres Family Resort
4 Main Road
Little Rock, AR 34902
Dear Mr. Scott:
As a skillful and driven individual, I am applying for a Park Ranger position at Pine Acres Family Resort. I have been aspiring to work as a park ranger ever since I embarked on my first tour of Arkansas State Park. Since then, I volunteered my services in every capacity that involved working in a woodland or a forest.
As the attached resume indicates, I have an in-depth understanding of interpretive services, visitor protection, resource management, and operating procedures. Specifically, I am well-versed in the cultural, natural, and historical resource management of parks, and can also capably handle structure and fire control.
Owing to the fact that I am a great communicator, it is easy for me to reach out to visitors and provide historical, scientific, and general information to them. In addition, I am able to enforce park rules and can effectively investigate complaints, accidents, and violations.
I am positive that a face-to-face meeting between us will be highly fruitful for both ends. To arrange one, I will contact your office next week. In the meantime, you may reach me at (000) 375-1094 if you need further information.
Thank you for considering my credentials for the Park Ranger position at Pine Acres Family Resort.
Sincerely,
Angela Benjamin
