Concrete Worker Interview Questions and Answers

Do you find the job of a concrete worker difficult?
I find it challenging. I would not call it difficult. And as far as challenges are concerned, I am sorted, as I take them in stride, and make a great effort to look them in the eye, and conquer them.

As a concrete worker, what duties have you performed in a previous position?
While working as a concrete worker, I have been busy determining the right consistencies of concrete for different projects, creating mixes as determined, pouring and setting concrete in different forms, checking forms to determine if they are properly set, monitoring the effects of the weather on concrete curing, directing construction personnel, and ensuring that safety measures are properly taken into account.

Speaking of safety, what is your take on it?
I take safety very seriously, Construction sites are dangerous places, and unless security measures are properly taken, accidents are not unusual. I make sure that I don the proper attire – and urge others to do the same – and follow company protocols to ensure that accidents and injuries do not happen.

What are some of the skills that you possess which make you a good person to hire as a concrete worker at our organization?
I am a perfectionist by nature, which means that all the work that I plan and execute is done so in an organized manner. Moreover, I am exceptionally well-versed in mixing the right amounts of sand and cement to create the right consistency of concrete, can easily handle many physical tasks at the same time, implement safety measures on job sites, use tools of the trade efficiently, and properly position construction forms and molds.

How do you handle adversity between team members?
Where I am concerned, adversity is never a problem. I am a straightforward individual, who cooperates with everyone. When adversity does arise, I make sure that I do the right thing, by following rules, so that the outcome is not negative.

What are your 3-year career plans?
I am learning the ropes at the moment. Very soon, I intend to be promoted to a supervisor’s position, in the construction arena.
