Maintenance Supervisor Recommendation Letter Sample

Updated on: August 12, 2018

If you have been asked to write a recommendation letter, and have no clue how to go about it, we have it covered for you. Writing a recommendation letter is as easy as telling an individual what you think about a student, peer, tenant, or ex-employee. The only problem you may come across is putting words on paper. No need to worry – keep reading!

The good news is that a recommendation letter can be written easily provided you have the information to put in them, and can truthfully say nice things about the person you are writing it for. If you have to resort to stretching the truth, it is best to decline to write a recommendation letter when requested. But if you feel that you can write one in the right way, the first thing you need to do is find out what it is that it will be used for. Once you have this information, you can quickly sort out your thoughts and determine what needs to go into it.

But remember not to go overboard with praise, as you don’t want to sound as if you are overdoing the “good person” bit. Here is a sample recommendation letter for a maintenance supervisor to help you write one:

To Whom It May Concern

I have never written a recommendation where the candidate and the position were such a great match! I have known Raul Marcos for 5 years since he started working as a maintenance supervisor at my facility. In my career, I have yet to come across an individual who is as hardworking and hands-on in his work as Raul is.

Over the years that Raul has worked for me, I have had the pleasure of watching him evolve from a rookie to an expert in managing a team of maintenance personnel to perform work with excellence. His enthusiasm is infectious – I have seen many workers motivated to work excellently by simply watching the energy with which Raul does his work. His knowledge of inspecting manufacturing equipment, and ensuring that troubleshooting activities are performed before problems become crises is mention-worthy. Raul loves challenges and thrives in an environment that offers trials, often coming out on top of situations.

I believe that Raul will be an excellent person to hire at your organization, as he will be immediately contributory – he has my full recommendation. If you need any further information regarding Raul’s credibility, please feel free to call me.

Sincerely,
