Acing an internet marketing specialist interview is getting harder and harder. Because interviewers are making it that way. But this fact should not come as a surprise – after all, would you blame them for wanting to hire the best person out there to do a job? Of course not! The person who will pay you a huge amount of money to get the work done in a professional manner deserves to be given the best. And the scrutiny that you are subjected to at an interview is due to this!
But have no fear! If you are aware of what (at least some of) questions you will be asked at an interview, you are sorted. Here are some for an internet marketing specialist:
Why did you opt to train as an internet marketing specialist?
I have a degree in business, with a major in digital marketing. Internet marketing is the future of business, especially where growth is concerned. It only makes sense for me to pick up something that has a great future in the job market. Additionally, I believe that I am excellent at what I do, as I have all concepts, theories and practical work completely sorted out.
Tell us what your duties as an internet marketing specialist have been in the past.
As an internet marketing specialist, I have mainly focused on creating and maintaining companies’ online presence, and ensuring that their products and services are effectively communicated to their target audiences. Developing and optimizing landing pages, creating email and PPC campaigns, designing and building online presence, and evaluating emerging technologies, all have been part of my work.
Do you think internet marketing really has a future? If yes, how far do you see it?
I believe that internet marketing is one of the few areas that have great future. This is because very soon, everything is expected to become digital. Life as we know it will cease to exist. I see internet marketing going well into the next century – of course, with extreme changes!
What has been your greatest success so far, where internet marketing is concerned?
I was once asked by a client to give his business a boost through internet marketing – this was his last resort after failing in the face of competition many times, and deciding to close down his business if this didn’t work out. Not only did my internet marketing strategies boost his business, it brought him profit like never before!
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I picture myself working with emerging technologies in internet marketing, and working on bigger campaigns than I ever have.
Tell us of 1 thing that you look into primarily before creating an internet marketing plan for a client?
Defining the target audience is perhaps foremost when creating an internet marketing plan for any client.
