When appearing for an interview for a computer science intern position, you must focus on the answers that you will give.

Even though interviewers won’t be too hard on you at this time since you are just starting out, you have to prepare as if they will be.

In particular, it is important to focus on the delivery of your answers.

Confidence is key here. Making sure that you provide answers in an upbeat fashion is important.

1. What made you decide to peruse a degree in computer sciences?

Computer science is the future. Since I wanted to do something where I would be able to make a difference for a long time, this was the best choice. Of course, I do have an inherent interest in technology!

2. What skills make you an excellent person to hire as an intern?

Apart from book knowledge about technology, I am well-versed in many areas such as installations, threat aversion, and troubleshooting. Furthermore, my skills lie in conducting research to develop new computer technologies. Also, I am well-versed in generating real-time data, as well as contributing to technology upgrading.

3. What do you find most challenging about working in a computer science capacity?

I am still testing the waters, and I am sure there are many challenges out there. However, at this point in time, I am focusing on learning the ropes rather than concentrating on challenges.

4. How do you feel about working long hours?

I am perfectly comfortable in working long hours, as I know that this job is demanding.

5. After your internship, what do you intend to do?

Once my internship is complete, I would like to acquire a full-time job as a computer scientist.

6. What branch of computer sciences do you want to major in? And why?

I am exceptionally interested in robotics and virtual reality. I believe that both these are the future of computer sciences. And my inherent interest in both these areas is the motivation behind my choice.

7. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest), where do you rate yourself as a computer scientist?

I have just stepped into this world, so I will give myself a realistic 4. Even though I have a degree in computer sciences, I have a long way to go where learning is concerned.
