Hotel Reservationist Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: April 1, 2022

Strategically written cover letters rock.

They reach hiring managers on a level where standardized letters cannot.

To be able to write a strategic cover letter for a hotel reservationist position, one has to first refer to the job posting for the list of desired qualifications.

Step two is thinking back to your experiences, and recording specific examples of times you demonstrated the desired qualifications. It is now time to write the cover letter.

Take all the examples that you have developed (which gel in well with an employer’s requirements), and integrate them into the prose of your cover letter.

Listing them might not be such a hot idea though!

A large percentage of employers want to know why you want to work for them.

Emphasize your knowledge about the company and its challenges, and then make sure that you write how you intend to help the organization overcome them. This alone will make a great case in your favor.

Mr. Eli Stevenson
Human Resource Manager
Moonstone Hotels
3 Landings Road
Weare, NH 92837

Dear Mr. Stevenson:

With my skills in managing reservation desks of high-end hotels, I am applying for the Hotel Reservationist position at Moonstone Hotels.

Processing reservation requests, changes, and cancelations, and effectively coordinating reservation activities through corporate centers and travel agencies is my niche. Moreover, you will find me to be exceptionally efficient in handling follow-up activities on reservations, aiming to ensure that all reserved slots are filled.

I have been known to increase The Hyatt’s revenue by $4000 per month by upselling the hotel’s services and suggesting room upgrades. With my strengths in handling multiple corporate and individual reservations, and an inherent ability to ensure guest satisfaction at every level, I will be a great contribution to your team.

I am interested in talking to you face to face, hoping to provide you with a more profound overview of my abilities. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Simpson
