Dental Assistant Introduction Letter Sample

Updated on: September 21, 2018

A Dental Assistant introduction letter is very much like a cover letter. In fact, in some instances, they are used interchangeably.

When you are in the process of writing an introduction letter, you have to focus on making sure that you shine in front of a hiring manager, who has read or will read a dozen more letters of the same type. Highlighting your abilities and knowledge of the work that you want to obtain will help you reach the interview stage quickly.

In your introduction letter, your primary concern should be to ensure that the hiring manager is made aware of your best points. Anything that you can do or use to make a positive difference in the workplace needs to go into the cover letter. When you write a cover letter, you should focus on what the hiring manager wants from you, and how you can convince him or her that you are ready to contribute that much.

Dear Mr. Patrick:

While working as a dental assistant at Dental Aesthetics, I learned most of what there is to know about dental facilities, and how they run. As someone who knows all, there is to know about performing dental support work; I am sure that I will be an instant hit at your facility. Please skim through the attached resume for further details on my experience and accomplishments in this regard.

As a seasoned dental assistant, I am aware of handling a lot of duties, such as preparing patients for treatments, providing instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment areas, assisting with diagnostic tasks, providing support to dentists during dental emergencies, and educating patients about oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative care. Apart from handling the core duties associated with dental work, I also possess demonstrated expertise in handling patient scheduling and follow-up work, and can essentially manage records and filing systems, according to protocol.

I am sure that I can provide you with deeper insight into my skills, experience, and accomplishments in the role of a dental assistant once I have met with you. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to meeting with you.

Sincerely,

Mark Cole
